7th December South Africa’s Minister of Trade and Industry said in an interview that in the past six months, South Africa has exported more than R1.6 billion worth of disinfectant, or about $120 million usd, to 30 African countries.

South African disinfectant manufacturers have been building important trade relations with other African countries during the COVID-19 pandemic, contributing to saving lives and South Africa’s trade exports.

As the largest and most diversified industrial base on the African continent, South Africa can use local resources to produce protective equipment to provide guarantees for African people to fight the epidemic.
