December 24th – The British Guardian reported on the 24th that mutant COVID-19 has been found in South Africa recently, which is different from the mutant strain found in the UK earlier.

South African scientists believe that the mutant novel coronavirus may be more infectious, affect young people and be slightly more resistant to vaccines.

Research on the discovery of mutant COVID-19 in South Africa is reported to continue, with preliminary determinations that the new strain will not cause more severe symptoms or require different treatments.

“The mutant COVID-19 found in South Africa is more likely to spread and has more mutation than the mutant virus found in the United Kingdom,” said Richard Lessells, a member of the South African Leading Research Group of Variable Viruses.

We are raising more concerns about vaccines (validity) … another concern is secondary infections.”

British Health Secretary Hancock said on the 23rd that the United Kingdom has found two other cases of mutant novel coronavirus, both of which have contact with people who have been to South Africa.

Newly discovered mutant strains are more likely to spread than those found earlier in Britain. So far, at least five countries, including the United Kingdom and Germany, have banned flights to South Africa.
