January 18, according to local media reports, South African construction company Conken used innovative technology to build a special coronavirus isolation facility at Jubilee Hospital in Gauteng Province.
It is reported that they delivered the facility to the hospital on November 27, 2020, and it took five months to build the facility similar to the cabin hospital.
There are ten modular ward units in this facility, with a total of 300 beds that can accommodate COVID-19 patients, including five 25-bed intensive care areas and five 35-bed advanced care areas.
In addition, the construction company also said that through the combination of innovative technology and rich experience, the construction of the facility can be completed efficiently and on time without violating safety or quality, and in compliance with national construction standards.
And because of the modular construction, the facilities and their functions can be expanded according to future needs.
