South Africa has called on the UN Security Council to meet immediately to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

by YCPress

South Africa’s Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation (DHS) issued a statement on May 14 local time calling on the UN Security Council to meet immediately to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The South African Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation stated that the continuing escalation of Israeli attacks against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip was totally unjust and shameful and strongly condemned Israel’s unjust attacks on civilians in the Gaza Strip and Jerusalem, particularly against women, children and the elderly in the Palestinian community.

South Africa urged Israel to halt all deportation plans for Palestinian families in the Sheikh Jalal area, saying that Israel had violated United Nations resolutions and that the United Nations Security Council should immediately hold an emergency meeting to hold the Quartet talks on the peace process without preconditions.
