Sofia Rowland has won the David Award for Italian film at the age of 86

At the Italian Film David Awards on Monday, 86-year-old Sofia Rowland won the best actress award for her role as a Holocaust survivor who adopted a street child in the film La Vita davanti a sé.

Sophia Rowland says she doesn’t know if this is her last film, but she still wants to do better.

Founded in 1955 by the Italian Film Institute, the Italian Film David Award is Italy’s highest-level film award. Since winning her first award in 1959, Sophia Rowland has won the David Award seven times and is the most-visited actress.
