According to a report by the Slovenian News Agency on January 2nd local time, from now on, the rapid detection of COVID-19 will be implemented at Slovini Capital Airport and five land border points bordering non-Schengen neighbor Croatia.
The Slovenian government has made a new regulation that passengers who do not have a negative test for COVID-19 within 48 hours must be tested quickly on the spot when entering Slovenia from a country or region with a “red warning” of the epidemic.
Those who have tested negative do not need to be quarantined after entering the country.
Third-country citizens (other than Slovenian and Croatian citizens) who refuse to accept testing and do not have an emergency will be refused entry.
In addition, the government lists 12 types of special circumstances, such as athletes, children under the age of 13 and people with emergencies, which can be not tested.
As of the 2nd, Slovenia had a total of 122,145 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 2,731 deaths and 19,312 confirmed cases.
