December 26th local time, Slovakia launched the first batch of coronavirus vaccinations.

Vladimir Krcmery, an infectious disease expert, became Slovakia’s first vaccinator at the Affiliated Hospital of Nitra University.

Shortly after the vaccination, Comery said he felt good. The first 9,750 doses of the coronavirus vaccine arrived in Slovakia earlier that day and were stored in the hospital’s deep frozen container.

Slovakia has contracted a total of 18 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine with six vaccine suppliers, and is expected to vaccinate 3.3 million Slovaks.

The total population of Slovakia is about 5.5 million.
