Slovakia’s Ministry of Health announced on May 11th that the death of a 47-year-old woman in Slovakia last week was likely linked to the astraZeneca Coronavirus vaccine. It was therefore decided to suspend the vaccination of first-timers, and the first dose of The astraZeneca vaccine could continue to be given to the population.
Slovakia’s drug regulator said in a statement on Friday that it had determined that the woman’s death was linked to sinus thrombosis in the cerebrovascular. Genetic tests have also found clotting abnormalities in the deceased’s body, and the link between the AstraZeneca vaccine and thrombosis is likely to be established.
