Shooting at a birthday party in the United States: Two groups of young people pull guns and nine people are injured

April 20  Nine minors have been injured in a shooting at a 12-year-old’s birthday party in Louisiana.

According to the New York Post and other U.S. media reported on the 19th, local time on the night of April 17, about 60 young people in a residence to participate in a 12-year-old child’s birthday party.

At around 8:40 p.m., shots rang out at the party scene, eventually injuring nine teenagers. It is reported that the victims are under 17 years of age, two of whom are still hospitalized and seven others have been discharged.

Investigators believe the shooting was sparked by an encounter and altercation between two groups of longtime youths at the house, two of whom are believed to have fired several shots using more than one weapon.

Local police said no arrests had been made since the incident and witnesses had remained silent. Sheriff Mike Tregley said in a statement that he hoped witnesses would provide some information to help police understand the circumstances of the case.
