Severely suppressed! In November, 9,760 people were arrested in Kenya for violating pandemic prevention regulations

The Kenyan “Star” reported on November 13 that the Chief Inspector of the Kenya Police Department

Hilary Mutiyamba, stated that since November 4

Kenyan President Kenyatta has ordered the police to strictly supervise and crack down on those who violate the anti-epidemic rules.

Personally, about 9,760 people across the country have been arrested for violating various epidemic prevention rules.

6,043 were arrested for violating the curfew, and 3,717 were arrested for not wearing a mask.

During the same period, 256 bars were closed for violating health and epidemic prevention regulations, and 463 cars were impounded.

Since the beginning of November, almost all of the newly confirmed cases in

Kenya have been more than 1,000 daily, with an average daily positive rate of 17%.

The death toll has increased significantly and medical institutions have been overwhelmed.

In order to contain the second wave of the pandemic, Kenyatta once emphasized in a national speech on

the 4th that the government hopes to keep the economy reopening

but needs to increase law enforcement and hope that the public can consciously abide by the epidemic prevention rules.
