April 30 Russian newspaper Arguments and Facts reported that The Secretary of the Russian Security Council Patrushev said in an interview that it was the American elite, not Russia, that undermined the U.S. national system, and that they used street movements to their own benefit.

Patrushev said the U.S. has for decades declared to the world that it pursues noble moral values, but the policies and actions it has pursued have nothing to do with the slogans: “Look at what the U.S. has done in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Syria, and the result is only a breeding ground for terrorist groups.” Americans have never felt uneasy about these things happening, until now something similar has happened on American soil.”
