A Russian court ordered Kira Yarmysh, the spokesman of Navalny, the imprisoned Russian opposition leader, to be placed under house arrest until March 23.

Russo-Presse quoted a court spokesman as saying that Jarmish was suspected of violating epidemic prevention regulations at an unauthorized rally.

Navalny, 44 years old, felt unwell when flying in Russia on August 20 last year and was admitted to hospital in an emergency hospital in Berlin, Germany.

The German government said on September 2 last year that Navalny had a “Novichok” type of nerve agent.

On January 18, Navalny flew back to Moscow for the first time after recovering, but he was detained by the Moscow General Directorate of the Federal Punishment Executive Directorate when he got off the plane at Sheremetyevo Airport in Moscow.
