April 7th According to a report by the Russian Sputnik News Agency on the 7th, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that after returning to Russia, Anatoli Antonov, the Russian ambassador to the United States, will not be able to return to the United States in the near future.

Asked about the possible date of Antonov’s return to the United States, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Riabkov said, “This is not a matter of a few days.” This date will depend on Washington’s action on bilateral relations.

We expect that they can at least show hope for the relative normalization of Russian-American relations and take action to this end.” Riabkov said.

According to previous reports, due to the tension between Russia and the United States, Antonov returned to Russia in late March and participated in discussions on the future development of bilateral relations.

Antonov held meetings with the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Russian Federal Council, the State Duma and Kremlin assistants respectively.

In an interview on March 25, he said that Russia and the United States do not have time to quarrel at present, but should jointly deal with the challenges faced by the two countries.
