Russian experts: The two-in-one flu and coronavirus vaccine may be available by the end of 2022

According to the Russian satellite news agency on January 14, Ginzburg, director of the Russian National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology of Gamalya, said that the two-in-one vaccine for influenza and COVID-19 may be available by the end of 2022, and the Kamalya Center has developed technology for the preparation of such vaccines.

Ginzburg previously told the satellite news agency that it planned to develop a joint vaccine that can prevent both influenza and coronavirus infection.

He said that technology has been developed to prepare such a vaccine, and a combination of vaccines is being carried out for various influenza and COVID-19.

He said, “At present, we are screening the strains we have and combining them on the basis of merit. As for clinical trials, they will be launched early next year.”
