Russian astronauts took pictures of the northern lights in space.

January 14, local time, Russian astronaut Kud-Sverchkov posted the northern lights taken from the International Space Station on social media.

The amazing time-lapse footage recorded this fascinating moment.

He wrote: “We flew over the Pacific Ocean, flew over the United States and Canada, and then greeted the dawn over the North Atlantic Ocean.

Even at night, the ocean, clouds and lights can be clearly seen, and the Milky Way seems to be floating on the horizon.
