According to a report by the Russian Tass Agency on December 22, Russian airborne troops have recently received a new type of umbrella that can be used for airborne operations in the Arctic.

The individual parachute called “Stayer” was developed by a subsidiary of the Russian State Technology Group.

The head of the company said: “From today (December 22), the “Stayer has been delivered for use, and the first system has been sent to the army.”

This parachute is specially developed for special forces. It can help airborne troops to land from aircraft with speeds of up to 350 kilometers per hour and can be used in extreme environments in the Arctic.

This is a new type of airfoil parachute system, which allows paratroopers to parachute from an altitude of 700 to 10,000 meters, with a maximum flight weight of 180 kilograms.

“The more mobility of the airfoil parachutes dramatically improves the ability of the Russian special forces to complete tactical tasks,” the Russian State Technical Group said in a statement.

In April this year, Russia made an airborne in the Arctic region using the latest parachute, landing from 10,000 meters to the French Joseph Land Islands.
