Russia may replace the national anthem of Russia with Katyusha at the Olympic Games.

January 14th, the Russian Sportsmen’s Committee proposed to the Russian Olympic Committee to replace the Russian national anthem with the song Katyusha as the music played by Russian athletes when they appear.

According to the ruling of the International Arbitration Tribunal for Sport at the end of last year, Russian athletes will not be able to represent the country until the end of 2022, but only as neutral athletes.

Katyusha is a famous Soviet song, which is considered an unofficial symbol of the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet Union.
