Russia’s National Aerospace Group announced on August 4th that it planned to set up a commission of inquiry to investigate the cause of the sudden start-up of the Science experimental module engine.
The source said that the “Science” experimental module in docking with the International Space Station engine abnormal start, the initial reason is that the safety system start led to the experimental module into a free flight state.
The Science capsule docked with the International Space Station on July 29, and Russian cosmonaut Nowitzki on board informed the ground mission control center that the capsule engine had started unexpectedly. The astronaut then managed to shut down the engine.
