Russian Ambassador to Bulgaria: A Russian diplomat has been expelled from Bulgaria

Russia declared a Bulgarian diplomat a “undesirable person”

by YCPress

Russian satellite news agency reported on December 28 that Russia declared a Bulgarian diplomat a “undesirable person” in response to Bulgaria’s previous decision to expel the Russian envoy.

Bulgaria reportedly declared a “undesirable person” a commissioner of the Russian Embassy in Sofia earlier this month, suspected of having been collecting military intelligence.

Moscow expressed its reservation to the right to retaliate.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the Russian side had declared Mitko Borisov, the Bulgarian deputy military attaché, a “undesirable” and given him 72 hours to leave Russia.
