Residents of Vladivostok, Russia, have called for the Victory Day decorations to be replaced

May 7 2021, on the eve of Russia’s victory day in the Patriotic War, a lamppost in the center of Vladivostok was decorated with a badge of victory in the Patriotic War, but many local residents thought the decoration was similar to the Japanese flag and demanded a replacement, the Communist Youth League’s Truth Daily reported.

Subsequently, photos of the ornament were heavily reprinted on local social networking sites. The local municipal information service promised to replace the decoration in the near future.
