On the evening of November 3 general election gradually entered the vote-counting stage, and the capital, Washington, DC, was highly tense. 

Currently, protests have taken place in Lafayette Square outside the

North Gate of the White House, and thousands of people have gathered. 

The demonstrators showed headlines such as

“Trump has been lying” and chanted slogans such as anti-racism.

As the U.S. election enters its final stage

many people worry that, given the growing disagreements in

American society and the continued spread of extreme emotions

any uncertainty may cause chaos in the election and even lead to violent conflict. 

Fearing that there might be turbulence after the election, many buildings and shops in downtown Washington, D.C.
