Promoting Smart Life The 3rd Middle East Africa International Smart Transportation and Logistics Expo opened in Cairo Egypt
Egypt’s “Pyramids” reported on the 22nd that the Egyptian Presidential Palace issued a statement on the same day that President Sisi attended the opening ceremony of the third Middle East and Africa Intelligent Transportation and Logistics Expo and Forum (TransMEA2020) on the 22nd.
The spokesperson of the Presidential Palace stated that TransMEA2020 coincides with Egypt’s progress in promoting and expanding new smart cities and improving the construction of modern transportation systems.
Egypt is currently seeking to increase trade exchanges, reduce the incidence of traffic accidents and protect the environment.
It is understood that TransMEA2020 will be held at the Egyptian International Exhibition Center in Cairo until the 25th of this month. Many international companies in the field of transportation, including Chinese companies, participated in the exhibition.
According to data from the Egyptian National Bureau of Statistics (CAPMAS), there were about 8,500 traffic accidents in Egypt in 2018, a drop of 23.6% from 2017.
