November 26 According to a report by Japan’s New Overseas Chinese Newspaper on the 26th, recently, the Japan Entry-Exit and Retention Administration announced that from November 20, qualified foreign graduates studying in Japan can apply for a two-year “specific activity” qualification through independent entrepreneurship.

It is reported that the increasing number of coronavirus infections has cast a shadow over Japan’s economic recovery. Recently, in order to activate the Japanese economy and promote foreigners to start businesses in Japan, the Japan Entry-Exit and Stay-based Administration has launched new regulations on the application of stay-on-stay eligibility.

Foreign students who can apply for this project include graduates from universities and colleges within the scope stipulated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology of Japan with the qualification to carry out employment support for foreign students, and have also obtained the recommendation of foreign students.

According to the report, in the past, if foreign students want to stay in Japan after graduating from university, they must be employed in Japanese enterprises or institutions, or obtain the qualification of “operation and management” in a self-employment manner. To apply for “operation ยท management” to stay, you must also meet the conditions of opening a firm, registering a capital of more than 5 million yen, and employing two or more employees.

In 2018, Japan also introduced a one-year stay-in qualification for foreign graduates for entrepreneurship, but it was only implemented in some local cities and was not widely promoted.
