December 10 Managua News: Nicaraguan President Ortega said on the 10th that the resumption of diplomatic relations between Nicaragua and China is good news for the Nepali people.
Ortega made the above statement on the same day when he attended a speech at an officer promotion ceremony in Managua, the capital of Nicaragua. In his speech, Ortega recalled the development process of Nepal-China relations. He mentioned that he visited China after the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in the 20th century and 80s, and China is no longer the same as that of today.
Ortega said that today China has become an economic power, developing rapidly in various fields such as economy, improving people’s livelihood, science and technology, etc. China has continuously developed its relations with Latin American and Caribbean countries through mechanisms such as the China-ECLAC Forum.
