Yonhap News Agency reported on the 30th that Park Bumjae served as a judge in the district courts of Seoul, Jeonju, and Daejeon. During the reign of former President Roh Moo-hyun, he served as the second secretary of the Blue House Civil Affairs and the legal secretary.

 In addition, as a member of the 19th to 21st Congress, he served as an officer of the Legal and Judicial Committee and an officer of the Judicial Reform Special Committee. 

Zheng Wanhao said that Park Fanjie is active in courts, governments, and parliaments, and has rich legal knowledge and experience. He believes that he will complete the procuratorial reform with firm determination and willingness to reform, and contribute to building a just society based on people’s livelihood and human rights. .

The Yonhap News Agency pointed out that the designate Park Fanjie and the previous three Ministers of Justice are also not from prosecutors. 

The Blue House stated that Qiu Miai will continue to perform the duties of Minister of Justice until Park Bumjie is appointed.

At the same time, Moon Jae-in also nominated Democratic Party member and Chairman of the Party Policy Committee Han Zhenai as Minister of Environment, and nominated former Chief of Naval Staff Huang Jitie as Director of the National Commendation Service (ministerial level). 

Among them, Han Zhenai served as an officer of the Congressional Environmental Labor Committee and a co-representative of the Congressional Climate Change Forum.

The Minister of the Environment nominated Han Jung-ae as a labor activist and was elected to the National Assembly three times. He was the chairman of the Common Democratic Party Policy Committee. The Blue House commented that Han Zhenai has the ability to comprehensively inspect and balance policies. He was a former secretary of the Environmental Labor Committee and co-representative of the Congressional Climate Change Forum, and has profound insights into relevant policies in the environmental field.

The newly appointed Director of the National Commendation Service, Huang Jitie, was the chief of naval staff and served as the commander of the 2nd Fleet of the Korean Army and the commander of the Korean Army’s combat operations.
