According to several Portuguese media reports on April 8 local time, Portugal will stop vaccination against AstraZeneca coronavirus among some age groups.
The decision is expected to be announced by the Portuguese health department later on the 8th local time. At least 10 countries, including Spain, have announced the suspension. People under the age of 0 are vaccinated.
The European Drug Administration acknowledged on the 7th that there is a link between the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine and thrombocytization cases, but regulators still believe that the benefits of vaccination far outweigh the risks, and recommend that the vaccine continue to be given.
