10th local time, the Selangor Water Authority of Malaysia issued a statement stating that the Selangor River was contaminated by a certain solvent, causing the 4 water treatment stations to be temporarily suspended today.

According to the latest data released by the authorities, a large-scale water cut will begin at 6 pm today (10th), involving 1,279 areas in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, and as many as 1,139,908 users will be affected.

It is reported that similar water suspension accidents have occurred several times in the above-mentioned areas in October, and the police have intervened in the investigation and arrested relevant suspects.
