Pelosi said that “the president called for inflammatory action and indescribable attacks on the United States and the people” and “should not remain in office”.
Senate Democratic leaders also issued a statement earlier on Thursday (7th), urging Vice President Pence and cabinet ministers to quickly remove Trump, otherwise Congress should impeach Trump.
Schumer said in a statement that what happened in the Capitol on Wednesday was the president’s incitement to riots against the United States, and the president “should not stay in office for another day”.
