Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas stressed that the Israeli-Palestinian ceasefire should include the West Bank and East Jerusalem

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met with Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Safadi in the West Bank city of Ramallah on the 25th.

According to a statement issued by the Palestinian presidential palace, Abbas and Safadi discussed recent palestinian diplomatic contacts with the United Nations and the United States, as well as the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.

Abbas said the israeli-Palestinian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip must be clear “re-established in Gaza destroyed by Israeli forces.” In addition, he stressed that during the Israeli-Palestinian ceasefire, the Israeli side must stop its “attacks and incursions” into the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
