Pakistani military exchanged fire with terrorists, killing 5 people

January 14 The Pakistani military said on the 14th that Pakistani security forces launched anti-terrorism operations and exchanged fire with terrorists in the northern Waziristan region in the northwest of the country.

Two terrorists were killed and three Pakistani soldiers were killed.

On the same day, Pakistan’s Information Bureau of the Inter-Services issued a statement saying that after obtaining intelligence, Pakistan’s security forces launched two anti-terrorism operations against terrorist hiding places, killing two terrorists, including one who specializes in manufacturing improvised explosive devices.

Three Pakistani soldiers were killed in the exchange of fire.

The statement did not mention the organization to which the terrorists belong and the specific time of the two operations.

Pakistan’s North Waziristan region borders Afghanistan and is often used as a hiding place by terrorists.
