December 21 local time, according to local media reports, the National Command and Operations Center of Pakistan (NCOC) imposed temporary restrictions on inbound passengers from the United Kingdom (directly or indirectly) to Pakistan, which will take effect at midnight on December 22 (00:00 on December 23).
According to the bulletin sent by the Ministry of Aviation to the Civil Aviation Administration, the restrictions lasted until midnight on December 29.
The restriction will apply to all people who have stayed in the UK for more than 10 days, and passengers transiting from the UK will be allowed to enter Pakistan.
Pakistani passport holders who travel to the UK on a visit visa or temporary visa will be allowed to return to Pakistan, but will need to provide a negative nucleic acid test within 72 hours before the flight, and be tested again upon arrival and enforce a seven-day family quarantine.
The National Command and Operations Center of Pakistan (NCOC) also decided to require all travelers arriving in Pakistan to use the Pass app, beginning at midnight on December 22, and passengers without the app will need to fill out relevant forms regarding their health.
