Oman’s Supreme Council for Epidemic Prevention and Control has decided to ban people from Egypt and the Philippines, as well as those with a history of travel in the past 14 days, from 9 a.m. local time on May 7, in an effort to curb the spread of the Coronavirus outbreak, several Omani media reported on May 4.

Oman’s own citizens, diplomats, medical personnel and their families may be exempted, provided that they comply with Oman’s outbreak prevention and control policy upon entry.

Oman has previously placed Sudan, Lebanon, South Africa, Brazil, Nigeria, Tanzania, Ghana, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, the United Kingdom, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh on the list of prohibited countries.
