Destroyed most of the indoor equipment and objects and attacked the president. Three weeks ago, the same group of masked men also broke into the National Technical University of Athens to conduct sabotage activities.

According to the report, in early October, a group of masked men’s sabotage of the National Technical University of Athens aroused strong concern from all walks of life. 

At that time, a group of people broke into the administrative office building of the university, splashed paint, vandalized public property, scribbled slogans on the walls, and distributed leaflets.

On October 29, the Athens University of Economics and Business was also attacked similarly. The desks and chairs in the principal’s office, computers, fire-fighting equipment, paper documents, and some cultural relics in the school were all destroyed, with estimated losses reaching thousands of euros.

According to reports, Dimitris Brantonis, the principal who happened to be in the office at the time, was choked by one of the attackers. This incident is considered to be the most serious school attack in recent years.

The president of the Athens University of Economics and Business later stated in an interview that the Athens University of Economics and Business will continue to maintain academic freedom, human dignity, and democracy, which are the most basic and unchangeable values ​​of the university. Such illegal, violent, and anti-democratic actions are not tolerated on college campuses.
