The announcement said that passengers from or connecting through the United Kingdom should not be allowed to board the plane on the plane to Nepal. The entry restrictions for these passengers took effect at 23:59 Nepal time on December 23.

On September 1, it began to resume international commercial flights to a limited extent, allowing specific groups of people from specific countries and regions to enter the country.

On November 24, the Nepali government decided to resume all international commercial flights as long as the destination country also agrees.
