Myanmar’s capital held its first “anti-military government” demonstration

According to the latest news from Myanmar News Agency, Myanmar News Agency, the first “counter-coup” demonstration broke out in the Mandalay area of the capital, since the military junta detained many senior NLD leaders.

Some protesters shouted: “We don’t want this new regime! We demand the release of all detained leaders! We are going to overthrow military rule!”

Myanmar’s military junta has ordered local telecom operators to temporarily ban users from accessing Facebook services until midnight on February 7.

According to the Japan Broadcasting Association (NHK), the National League for Democracy of Myanmar revealed that the court ruled to detain Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and President Wen Min until February 15.
