According to officials of Yangon Provincial Health Department of Myanmar, Myanmar has carried out coronavirus vaccination for ordinary people nationwide from February 5 as originally planned.
This vaccination will give priority to the elderly, people with basic diseases and people living in densely populated areas.
The vaccine will be injected in two doses, and the second dose will be given 28 days after the first dose.
It is reported that Myanmar has given priority to injecting about 100,000 high-risk groups such as front-line medical staff and volunteers since January 27 local time.
The second batch of coronavirus vaccine will arrive in Yangon from India on February 11.
