Myanmar military vehicles have triggered mines in Maguire province, killing and injuring dozens of people

According to Myanmar media reports, on August 19 at 1330 hours local time, two military vehicles of the Myanmar government forces triggered mines in the section of the Gangao to Giling Temple section of Maguire province, resulting in dozens of casualties.

The attack was carried out by the local civilian armed “People’s Defence Forces”, the evening of the government forces and the civilian armed forces in the vicinity of the village of Nika clashed. As a result of the conflict, residents of villages along some roads have fled their homes to escape the fighting.
