Since the four-year term of office has expired, the AU Commission held a general election during the summit.
Moussa Faki Mahamat was re-elected as Chairman of the African Union Commission
by an overwhelming margin of 51 votes (55 total), and his term of office would be extended for four years.
Monique Nsanzabaganwa from Rwanda is the vice chairman of the African Union Commission.
