The Moroccan National Security Agency issued a communiqué on the 12th that the Moroccan police seized 2.89 tons of cannabis products near the southern Moroccan city of Agadir on the evening of the 11th, and six people involved were arrested.
The illicit cultivation and smuggling of cannabis are serious in some parts of Morocco, and about 179 tons of cannabis products were seized by Moroccan security services in 2019 alone.
