As of the afternoon of the 25th local time, France has added 5,2010 new cases of new coronary pneumonia confirmed patients within 24 hours, totaling 1,138,507 cases, and the positive rate has risen to 17%, which is the highest level since the beginning of the epidemic .

According to the Le Figaro, although France has implemented a wide range of curfew measures, the epidemic has still not improved. From the 19th to the 25th, the number of new patients per day was 13,243, 20468, 26676, 41622, 42032, 45422, and 52010 respectively.

Marlene Le Pen, chairman of the French far-right “National League”, said on the 25th that she is not opposed to the launch of regional blockades, and emphasized the need to support companies severely affected by the epidemic. “We must do everything to support our self-employed and Small and medium enterprises.”

Damian Abad, chairman of the National Assembly caucus of the right-wing Republican Party, also agreed to initiate a regional blockade. He accused the government of “always being late” in anti-epidemic measures, and expressed doubts about the effectiveness of curfews in 54 provinces. Damian Abad said in a guest on French TV 3 on the 25th, “I would rather implement a regional blockade now than a complete blockade during Christmas.”

Doctors from the French Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Regional Alliance of Free Health Professionals have called for an extension of the curfew and the launch of a weekend lockdown.

They emphasized in a statement that the curfew from Monday to Friday should be immediately moved from 21:00 to 19:00, and the necessary lockdowns should be implemented on Saturday and Sunday.

“The epidemic is reaching a record level. A few days later, it will lead to congestion or even saturation of hospital services. If nothing can stop the epidemic, it will be a health disaster, then an economic disaster, and then a social disaster.”

Director of the Paris Region Health Agency Aurelian Rousseau also said that the local situation is deteriorating. In the past two or three days, the reception speed of emergency and critical care systems has accelerated. The Paris region new crown patients have occupied 67% of critically ill beds.

The French public health department recently warned that the growth of inpatients and critically ill patients is accelerating, and medical institutions in some severely affected areas have postponed other non-emergency operations or moved COVID-19 inpatients to areas with less medical pressure.

In order to solve this problem, France has imposed a curfew on 46 million people since the 24th and will no longer rule out the possibility of a regional blockade.

However, Health Minister Olivier Weiland pointed out in the National Assembly on the 24th that no matter what measures are taken, the epidemic curve will be difficult to improve in the next few days or weeks.
