More than 40 American enterprises wrote to Biden: Support a return to the Paris Agreement

December 2nd more than 40 American companies sent a letter calling on Congress to work closely with President-elect Biden to deal with the threat of climate change.

According to the Wall Street Journal, these American companies include Amazon, Citigroup and Ford Motor Company. They jointly sent letters to Congress and Biden’s transition team in support of the U.S. return to the Paris Agreement and urged Biden and Congress to work together to develop durable, bipartisan solutions to climate issues.

The letter did not elaborate on any specific action plan or policy recommendations, but the U.S. media believes that this is a “latest sign” that a large number of American companies are cooperating with environmentalists on climate change.

Biden has publicly stated on numerous occasions that he will lead the United States back to the Paris Agreement after taking office. On November 30, local time, Pat Ward, a Fox News reporter, quoted the transition team as saying that Biden and Harris had held remote talks with national security and climate policy officials. The two sides discussed Biden’s commitment to international climate issues, including returning to the Paris Agreement on his first day in office.
