Paris, February 14 the cumulative number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in France exceeded 3.46 million.

French President Macron called for international cooperation to deal with the Variant novel coronavirus.

According to the epidemic data released by the French Ministry of Health that night, France added 16,546 new confirmed cases on the 14th, with a total of more than 3.46 million confirmed cases, reaching 3465,163.

The cumulative number of deaths is now 81,814 and 167 new deaths. The number of hospitalized patients with the novel coronavirus in France is 26,401, and the number of severe patients is now 3,299.

Monaco announced on the 14th that it would strengthen immigration control against France, requiring people entering Monaco from France to show a negative virus test certificate within 72 hours from the 15th.

Border workers and students are not subject to the above-mentioned control measures.

According to a report by French BFM TV on the 14th, the French Ministry of Health has issued a notice to hospitals, clinics and regional health institutions to respond to the Variant virus.

The goal is to mobilize all medical personnel and increase the number of beds available as much as possible when the spread of the Variant virus causes the epidemic to rebound.

Macron called for international cooperation to deal with the Variant coronavirus through the Sunday News on the 14th. “We are battling Variant viruses,” he said, “a race of reality” that races against the clock.

“Without rapid, effective and unified international collective action, we will be at risk of uncontrolled transmission of variant viruses,” he said.

Macron also said that access to the coronavirus vaccine is uneven around the world, and he believes that African countries are facing challenges in obtaining a vaccine.

He reiterated his call on the international community to support the “Get the Accelerator of Tools to Fight against COVID-19” initiative to ensure the equitable distribution of vaccines.

He also believes that cooperation should be carried out with China and Russia in vaccine research and development.

France supported Portugal’s anti-epidemic process. On the 14th, it provided Portugal with medical equipment such as ventilators, and sent doctors and nurses to Lisbon to participate in the treatment of COVID-19 patients.

At the same time, six Portuguese COVID-19 patients were also sent to French hospitals for treatment.
