Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan: Will maintain communication with the Taliban in support of the formation of an inclusive new Government in Afghanistan

August 17, local time, Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement saying that Uzbekistan will maintain close communication with the Afghan Taliban on maintaining stability in the border areas, while supporting Afghanistan in forming an inclusive new government on a broader basis.

The statement also said that in accordance with relevant laws, Uzbekistan will strictly stop any illegal crossing of the border between the two countries.
