Maya Sandu, chairman of the “Action and Unity” party, wins the Moldova presidential election

Moldova’s Central Election Commission announced on the 16th that Maya Sandou, chairman of the “Action and Unity” party and former prime minister, won the second round of voting in the Moldova presidential election and eventually won the election.

After counting all the votes, Sandu won 57.75% of the votes in the second round of voting, while the current President Igor Dordon won 42.25% of the votes. The turnout for this round of voting reached 52.78%.

The second round of voting in Moldova’s presidential election was held on November 15, and the winner was the one with more than half of the votes. In the first round of voting held on November 1 Sandu and Dodong defeated other competitors and entered the second round.
