On the morning of the 16th local time, Malaysian Prime Minister Muhiddin introduced the Guidelines for the National COVID-19 Immunization Plan on national television, saying that the vaccination plan will be carried out in three stages and will be implemented from the 26th of this month.

These three stages are:

The first phase (February 26-April) is aimed at front-line personnel.

The second phase (April-August) targets high-risk groups, such as those over 60 years old, vulnerable groups with health problems and people with disabilities.

The third stage (May to February 2022) is aimed at groups over 18 years old.

Muhiddin also called on the people to actively participate in the above-mentioned vaccination program, and said that after vaccination nationwide, the country will fully resume normal socio-economic life.
