January 10, the atmosphere in Danjubulu Port, located in the northern part of Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, was tense, and from time to time police cars and ambulances flashed past.

The temporary search and rescue command center of the crashed passenger plane of Indonesia’s Sanfoqi Airlines is located at International Container Terminal 2 in the port.

At 14:36 local time on the 9th, a Boeing 737-500 with 62 passengers on board took off from Jakarta International Airport. Four minutes later, it lost contact with the ground and was found to have crashed in the waters of the Kuril Islands region of Jakarta.

After the incident, the Indonesian National Search and Rescue Bureau, together with the Indonesian Ministry of Transport, the Navy, the Air Force and other departments, dispatched ships, helicopters, divers, etc. to participate in the search and rescue.

After a day and night of searching, the relevant personnel have recovered the remains of some of the victims and the remains of some passenger planes.

Indonesian police said on the 10th that search and rescue personnel had salvaged the bodies of some of the victims and transported them to the Indonesian National Police Hospital for autopsy.

The police appealed to the families of the passengers of the crashed passenger plane to go to the Indonesian National Police Hospital as soon as possible to submit information and items that could help identify the victims.

Xinhua News Agency reporter saw at the scene of the search and rescue command center on the same day that a number of police vehicles and military vehicles were parked at the container terminal, and rescue equipment and materials were piled up in temporary tents.

Dozens of military and police are maintaining order, and a large number of uniformed rescue workers are rushing back and forth. From time to time, rubber boats sailed across the sea, carrying black bags containing salvage to the shore. On the ground are salvage items that have just come out of the water, and the staff took pictures while checking.

In the sea where the accident occurred, more than a dozen boats involved in the salvage were working intensively. Helicopters hovered in the air and divers searched underwater.

A staff member of the search and rescue command center said that the salvage was mainly the wreckage of the passenger plane, as well as the remains and remains of some of the victims. “It is not expected that there will be no survivors”.

Indonesian Transport Minister Budi and Indonesian National Army Commander-in-Chief Hadi held a press conference at the dock on the same day. Hardy said that search and rescue personnel have determined the location of the wreckage and black box of the crashed passenger plane, which is “a major development”.

The Indonesian military will work with the National Search and Rescue Agency and other relevant departments to jointly salvage the wreckage of the passenger plane from the bottom of the sea at a depth of 23 meters.

The flight number of the crashed passenger plane is SJ-182, with 50 passengers and 12 crew members, including 7 children and 3 babies.

It is reported that the passenger plane took off for half an hour due to heavy rain, and plummeted by about 3,000 meters within one minute.

At the time of the incident, local fishermen heard two loud explosions from the sea.

Indonesian President Joko expressed condolences on behalf of the Indonesian government and people on the 10th to the victims of the crash.

He asked all parties concerned to use all resources and do their best to search for people on the crashed passenger plane, and asked the National Traffic Safety Commission to investigate the cause of the crash and issue relevant reports as soon as possible.
