According to local media reports, on the 30th, the Lebanese presidential palace handed over a parliamentary resolution to the Prime Minister’s office, requiring a criminal investigation of the bank accounts of the Lebanese Central Bank, ministries and other institutions without violating the bank secrecy law.

On the 27th, the parliament held a legislative session and agreed to conduct judicial audits of the central bank, ministries, independent institutions, financial institutions, municipal institutions and all national funds without any reason, including the bank secrecy law.

President Awn said that the decision was an achievement of the Lebanese people and showed the international community a bright prospect for Lebanon to oppose corruption and waste.
