The Associated Press reported on January 3 that Larry King, a former CNN talk show host, had been hospitalized for more than a week due to the novel coronavirus.

CNN quoted an anonymous person close to his family as saying that King, 87, is currently undergoing treatment at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The hospital regulations do not allow King’s family to visit him.

Larry King, who won the Peabody Award for Cultural Achievement in Radio and Television, is the most famous interview host in the United States. He has interviewed many celebrities, presidents and other news figures in his half-century career, including hosting CNN nightly programs for 25 years.

Larry King has had health problems in recent decades, including heart attacks and being diagnosed with diabetes and lung cancer. Last year, two of King’s five children died one after another. “Son Andy King died of a heart attack last August at the age of 65, and daughter Jaya King died of lung cancer last July at the age of 51,” he said in a statement.

Larry King, the host of American idol TV talk show, has been hospitalized in Los Angeles after testing positive for the novel coronavirus, according to the Russian satellite news agency on January 2.
