According to the Russian Satellite News Agency on January 29, the Information Service of Kyrgyz new President Zaparov released information that Zaparov signed an order prohibiting foreign-funded enterprises from mining national mineral resources, but the new regulations are not retroactive.

The Information Service pointed out: “According to this order, the national mining area will be completely mined by state-owned mining enterprises with 100% registered capital.

Enterprises that have obtained relevant licenses at the time of the adoption of the Mining Law and are already mining national mining areas are not subject to this restriction.”
