May 19 2021, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, in response to a reporter’s question, commented on the possibility of lifting U.S. sanctions on the Nord Stream-2 program. He said such talk was better in itself than news of sanctions, but had not been officially confirmed and was therefore difficult to see as a signal.
In addition, Peskov told reporters about whether Moscow would make negative comments about U.S. President Joe Biden, said the important thing is not the incident, but strategic stability.
Peskov pointed out that the Russian-American leaders’ meeting is mainly about strategic stability, because it is related to the development of relations between the world and Russia and the United States.
